Any visit to a theme park is exciting but staying on property is always a treat! Knott’s Berry Farm has been consistently improving its theme park with the addition of new attractions, eateries and this year, the highly anticipated Fiesta Village renovation. While the focus has been heavy on the park, last year the Knott’s Hotel began its much needed makeover geared at bring it up to speed with the theme park. Well I’m happy to share that every single guest room, all 322 of them, have been completed! I was invited to stay recently, here are my thoughts on the accommodations they now offer and a few things to know before you book your stay.

Rooms are available to checking into at 4pm and check out is at noon. Parking is included and you are welcome to keep your vehicle parked till midnight the day you check out. You can also park there before your room is ready if you are heading into the park, just check into the lobby and get a parking pass for your vehicle. Best part of parking at the Hotel is that you are just steps away from the theme park entrance. If you have stayed at the hotel in the past and are wondering where the Snoopy Themed Room options are, I’m sad to report those are not coming back. There is always the chance to bump into Snoopy in the Lobby and of course within the park.

I found the overall decor warm and comfortable. After a fun filled day at the theme park, the rooms understated farmhouse decor provides a calm and restful space to unwind. Beds are on the firmer side but not hard. There are plenty of USB plugs and tons of ambient lighting that adds to the “home like” feel of the rooms.

I would recommend bringing your own pillows if you are getting a queen bed but normally sleep in a king at home. Mini fridge is not stocked with anything so feel free to bring your own beverages and snacks. Coffee pods are provided but I would recommend taking your own creamer if you use it. The packets provided weren’t sufficient in my opinion. There are no extra blankets so if you like the weight of layers, you might consider bringing one from home.

I have stayed several times at this property and found the renovations completed so far well suited for the Knott’s theme park. I appreciate that the hotel is family friendly in its decor and offerings and is still a fair priced option.

What’s left to be done? Common spaces, pool area, and conference rooms. There is an exciting new concept restaurant and bar in the works, plus the outdoor banquet venue, all paying tribute to the park's founders, Walter and Cordelia Knott.
