Fitness for All Abilities at The Adaptive Athlete in Upland

Special needs parents are always looking to get the best therapy and services for their kids. Most of the time we are given referrals via our insurance but the best places are always those who have been referred to us by other Special needs parents. Our personal experience with The Adaptive Athlete in Upland has been great! I knew my daughter could benefit from a workout routine, finding the right fit was the struggle.

So what is the Adaptive Athlete? The Adaptive Athlete provides a safe, friendly, and fun environment to facilitate fitness and specialized programs for all ages and abilities all housed within a massive 18,000 square foot gym. Their belief is that the quality of life can be improved through movement, inclusion, and socialization. The offer a variety of programs like gymnastics, fitness, and yoga.

Not sure if your child or young adult could benefit from their classes? Call and make an appointment to tour the facilities and get an evaluation. That’s exactly what we did after getting a physical therapy referral from our primary doctor and in just over a month we have seen a huge improvement in our girl. Since socialization is also an issue for most of our special needs kids, we decided to try their group sessions and visit twice a week. This way we work out with 2 different trainers and 2 different groups of students with like abilities and age.
