2019 Disneyland Candy Cane Dates

The tradition dates back to 1968 and each year, guests flock to the Disneyland Resort to get in on the hand-crafted sweetness. Look amazing right, ah but not so fast, there is a trick to getting your hand on one of these Candy Canes!

Christmas time at Disneyland is THE best! The moment you walk through those turnstiles you can feel the magic of the season from the decorations to the amazing hand crafted treats, it's an amazing time to be at the parks. There is a uber special treat that I just learned about recently that I hope I get to try this year. Hand made candy canes! Disneyland only crafts three batches of candy canes with 40 candy canes in each batch on the selected pre announced days. Each batch is skillfully created by a "seasoned" Disneyland Cast Member–many of which have been crafting these sweets at the park for years. How do you get your hands on one of these coveted confections? Special wristbands are handed out each morning in Disneyland and at Disney California Adventure, last year it was to only 120 people per date.

Here's how you can get one! Upon arrival at the parks, go straight to either the Candy Palace in Disneyland or Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure to pick up your wristband to get your candy cane. The distribution of wristbands begins upon the parks officially opening. Note, many people will begin to line up during this time on days when the Disneyland candy canes are released so plan to get there a bit early. I hear the land rush to the candy store is a sight to see and totally worth the effort.

Both the Candy Palace and Trolley Treats have specific days that they make the candy canes switching between the two. The 5 oz 18” long candy canes sold for $12.99 each last year.
