There’s nothing quite like grabbing a bucket of fresh pop corn, finding your favorite spot center screen and letting the magic of a story take you away for a couple of hours. Disney is always on our radar and 2019 is shaping up to be another hit at the box office. Bringing back some classics with a live action twist to finally wrapping up some sequels, there will be something for everyone in the family to look forward to. With Marvel under it’s belts, it’s genre is even more broader than ever, here’s the list of Movies Disney will be releasing in 2019.

Glass Releasing January 18

This one might not be officially considered a “Disney” Movie but it will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures within international territories. M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller. Featuring an all start cast “What if these real life superheroes and super-villains are somehow locked up together? What could go wrong?" Disney or not this one looks awesome!

Captain Marvel March 6, 2019

Carol Danvers A U.S. Air Force pilot whose DNA is fused with that of a Kree during an accident, giving her superhuman strength, energy projection and the ability of flight .Captain Marvel is set in the 1990s and follows the story of Carol Danvers. She becomes Captain Marvel after the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures staring Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and Jude Law. This film is not yet rated.


Dumbo — March 29, 2019

A young elephant, whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe helps save a struggling circus. But when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer. Directed By Tim Burton and stars Eva Green, Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton .This film has not been rated yet.

Penguins — April 19, 2019

Disneynature's film Penguins is a coming-of-age documentary about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic. On their quest to build suitable nests, find a life partner and start a family, his real life is featured during his adventure and finds himself the target of many predators from killer whales to leopard seals. Penguins opens in theaters nationwide in time for Earth Day 2019.


Avengers 4: MAY 3, 2019

Referred to as Avengers 4, this superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers, is intended to be the direct sequel to 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, as well as the sequel to 2012's Marvel's The Avengers and 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Staring Brie Larson, Bradley Cooper, Evangeline Lilly 


Aladdin — May 24, 2019

Directed by Guy Ritchie, written by Ritchie, John August and Vanessa Taylor, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. This  live-action adaptation of Disney's 1992 animated film will Star Billy Magnussen, Will Smith, Naomi Scott.

Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4 — June 21, 2019

The 4th chapter in this story was conceived by the writing team on the original Toy Story and will include many of the original cast reprising their respective roles as Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep as Woody and Buzz embark on a quest to find Woody's romantic interest, Bo Peep. Staring Tom Hanks, Annie Potts, Patricia Arquette.


Spider-Man: Far From Home July 5

After the events of Avengers 4, Peter Parker and his friends go on a trip for Midtown High's International Decathalon. Peter sees that Mysterio who is part of the Watchdogs, tries to ruin the world and eyeing on Spider-Man. Staring Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson & Jake Gyllenhaal.


The Lion King — July 19, 2019

This all-new Live action film journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother and former heir to the throne has plans of his own. Staring Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Keegan-Michael Key.


Artemis Fowl- AUGUST 9, 2019

Artemis Fowl the second, a young Irish criminal mastermind, kidnaps the fairy LEPrecon officer Holly Short for ransom to fund rescuing his father. Once a transaction is made, they go onto a hunt for the evil pixie Opal Koboi and rush to save Artemis Fowl senior from the Arctic. Staring Hong Chau, Judi Dench, Josh Gad.

Disney jungle cruise Movie

Jungle Cruise – October 11, 2019

This Adventure is based on Disneyland's theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles with a supernatural element. Staring Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johnson, Jesse Plemons.

Maleficent Mistress of Evil

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil - October 18, 2019

Having been slated to released May 29, 2020, Disney has pushed it’s opening date to October 18 of this year. The sequel once again stars Elle Fanning as Aurora and Angelina Jolie in the infamous role of Maleficent. Michelle Pfeiffer will be in the film as well as Queen Ingrith.

Noelle Disney Movie 2019

Noelle -November 7, 2019

Santa's daughter finds herself having to take over the family business. This movie was originally scheduled for Nov. 7, 2019, but is now reportedly releasing exclusively on Disney's streaming service. Staring Anna Kendrick, Bill Hader, Billy Eichner.


Frozen 2 — Nov. 27, 2019

The story line has yet to be revealed. Staring Kristen Bell, Sterling K. Brown, Evan Rachel Wood.

Star Wars Episode 9: DECEMBER 20, 2019

The conclusion of the new 'Star Wars' trilogy It is intended to be the third and final installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy and the ninth installment of the main Star Wars film franchise, following The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Staring Adam Driver, Billie Lourd, Joonas Suotamo, Mark Hamill. Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley. Keri Russell.


Sword and The Stone Release date TBD

A young boy learns how to be a king with the help of a wizard. A live-action adaptation of Disney's animated feature film, "The Sword in the Stone."

So many of the films slated to release in 2019 have yet to release trailers, ratings and even their plots! Avengers 4 is not even officially the title so there will still be many questions to be answered in the following months. Any films from this list you are looking forward to?
