The Flower Fields in Carlsbad are Blooming

Enjoy 50-acres of blooming color at The Flower Fields in Carlsbad!  The Flower Fields are ready to welcome visitors with its giant ranunculus and colorful gardens starting March 1 through May 9, 2021. For over 25 years, this working flower ranch has opened its doors to the public for ten weeks from March to mid-May. Seeds were planted months ago to create the dazzling display of Ranunculus that will bloom this spring, along with more than 100 floral species at The Flower Fields. New this year…. U-Pick Blueberries! Here is what you need to know before you go.

2021 Season Reopening Safety Measures:

  • Online ticketing and reservations only, no walk-up ticket sales

  • Visitor capacity reduced

  • Face covering & social distancing requirements

  • Hand sanitizing stations, enhanced cleaning procedures, and contactless transactions throughout the property

Classic Favorites & Exciting New Updates:  

  • All 50-acres of The Flower Fields will be open to stroll around

  • Classic experiences like the American Flag of Flowers, Antique Tractor Wagon Tour, Artist Gardens & Aviaries, Sweet Pea Maze and Cymbidium Orchid Greenhouse.

  • New for 2021: U-Pick Blueberries: Guests are invited to pick fresh blueberries from the field’s two-acre blueberry patch to take home and enjoy.

U Pick Blueberries at The Flower Fields in Carlsbad

The blueberry patch is now open for guests at The Flower Fields! New to the 2021 season at The Flower Fields, you are invited to enjoy their “U-Pick Blueberries” experience. Get a closer look at our working farm by visiting our two-acre blueberry patch. Pick your own fresh, flavorful blueberries to take home and enjoy! The blueberry patch is near the northern part of The Flower Fields, with a blue-tiful view of the Pacific Ocean!

  • Access to the “U-Pick Blueberry” patch is included in your tickets to The Flower Fields. Purchase a 1-pint basket at $5 per basket to pick blueberries

  • Blueberry picking will be available March through May (or until all berries have been picked)

  • Masks and social distancing required for all visitors to the blueberry patch

  • Available mid-March~ Blueberry picking will soon be available to guests not visiting The Flower Fields. There will be a free designated parking available off Cannon Road. Stay tuned to their social media channels and website for more information! 

As with all flowers and specialty crops grown on the Carlsbad Ranch, we proudly follow responsible growing and farming practices.

Admission Prices:

Adults: $20.00
Seniors 60+: $18.00
Children ages 3-10: $10.00

Please note: All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket available online only! No onsite tickets will be sold. Book your tickets in advance! The best time to go? During the weekdays. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the highest volume times at The Flower Fields. If you need to come during peak days it is suggested that you arrive before noon to avoid peak attendance.
