Here's How to Register for the 2026 Kids Marathon Mile at Legoland

LEGOLAND® California Resort joins In Motion in presenting the Kids Marathon Mile on Saturday, January 17, 2026. LEGOLAND California is host to this special, 1-mile fun run for kids of all ages and ALL abilities. Participants can run, walk, skip or stroll, or even be pushed in a stroller or carried on a back as they wind through the park and back out to the finish line. The Kids Marathon Mile is proud to be partnering with Merlin's Magic Wand as the official charity partner of the event. A portion of each registration will be donated directly to Merlin's Magic Wand.

Registration fees $49.50

Entry includes: One companion bib for parent/guardian to accompany child on course.

For the safety of all participants, anyone who participates in the Kids Marathon Mile must register. One companion bib is provided upon request for an adult to accompany a child 12 and under. The companion must stay with the registered child at all times. Additional adults may accompany a child on the race course but must register for the event

The race starts just outside LEGOLAND® along the Tyke Hike, continues into LEGOLAND® making a loop of the park before exiting and finishing along the opposite side of the Tyke Hike. All pre- and post-race activities take place in the lower parking lot of LEGOLAND®.

Race Schedule Sat, January 17, 2026

6:30 a.m. - LEGOLAND® parking lot opens (free parking at this time with no re-entry)

6:45 a.m. - Event day bib number pick opens.

7:45 a.m - Mile races start

Start Line Staging: The one-mile races start using quick waves.

Things To Know:

• Late starters are not allowed, be sure you’re at the event staging area by 7:35 a.m.

  • All racers must be out of the park by 8:45 a.m. Please keep moving while inside LEGOLAND. You can return after the event and when the park opens for photos, and to explore.

  • The Kids Marathon Mile is just for fun - it is not timed.

  • Only paid participants and accompanying adult companions clearly displaying a companion bib will be allowed on the course.

  • This event will take place rain or shine, no refunds or deferrals.

  • Leave all pets at home. Dogs (except service dogs) are not allowed at LEGOLAND®.

  • NO roller skates, inline skates, scooters, skateboards, bikes or other such devices are allowed.
