2024 Walk Your Way Resource Fair and Walk Benefiting the Speech and Language Development Center
Walk Your Way is happening April 7, 2024 at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park. Registration is still open, proceeds from this event will fund year-round education and therapy for SLDC students, empowering students with special needs to learn, communicate, and thrive using their own unique talents and capabilities.
What to expect when you register
This annual event, made possible with the generous support of Knott’s Berry Farm, will showcase over 20 local resources for families of special needs children and adults alike. After a quick warm up and the 1 mile walk through Knott's Berry Farm, guests are encouraged to experience the Walk Your Way Resource Fair located in the Lagoon Picnic Area, as part of the course and event. Enjoy crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and snacks while learning about the variety of resources and services the local community has to offer. And don’t forget, there will be a free slice of Knott's Famous Boysenberry pie waiting for every participant! Below is the event schedule.

Create a Fundraising Team and Win Prizes: Everyone is encouraged to create a fundraising team with their friends and family. Form a team, pick a name, and customize a team page on the Walk Your Way Website. Prizes include Knott’s Berry Farm tickets, Peanuts Plushes and more.
Walk Your Way is a celebration of all individuals with special needs at the Speech and Language Development Center (SLDC). Teams of families, organizations, and community partners will raise money and participate in a 1-mile walk through Knott's Berry Farm.

Cost to participate:
SLDC Families (locked in pricing even after March 7th) $20 for students/ $25 for parents
General Public $25 for children/ $35 for adults
SLDC is a non-profit school and therapy center for children and adults with special needs. They provide special education services K- 12 and transition, Adult Day Programs, and full Therapy Services.
